What areas do you cover?

Sylv's Beauty generally covers a 6 mile radius from Eastleigh, but if you're a bit further outside that then do still get in touch - we'll be happy to help if we can. there will be a petrol charge of 50p per mile outside the 6 mile radius.

Do you have a minimum call out charge?

Ihave a minimum call out of £15 worth of treatments, but this amount can be made up of more than one treatment.

What are Eyelash Extensions?

Classic lashes - 1 extension to each natural lash

Volume lashes - Pre made Fans applied to each natural lash .

Russian Volume - Handmade fans that are made as they are applied to give a look to suit the exact requirements fans can be made bigger or smaller depending on the natural lash that it is being applied to

Individual Eyelash Extensions are single strands of synthetic eyelashes that are curved to replicate a natural eyelash. They are applied to individual eyelashes, one lash at a time, for a natural, elegant and luscious look.

Russian Volume eyelash Extensions are Not to be confused with the individual clusters of lashes knotted together that are a single-event accessory. These are a number if ultra fine lashes made by hand into a fan and applied to each natural lash . I make the fans as I go to get the perfect set of Russian Volume Lash Extensions

You can get any look you want from the Natural 3-5D to mega volume lashes - 10D

Russian Volume Lashes are perfect for any age my oldest lady is 84 and my youngest is 16.

They also great for ladies who don't have time to apply mascara in the mornings , I have many clients who are nurses who love the fact they don't need to worry about mascara for there long shifts at work .

Why do I need infill Appointments ?

I recommend getting an infill every two weeks.

A natural eyelash falls out every 35 - 60 days on average due to the natural growth cycle and is naturally replaced with the growth of a new eyelash. At any given moment, each of your natural eyelashes is at a different stage of its life cycle during the infill I will apply the extensions to any new lashes that have grown through.

When applying lashes I try to apply to as many natural lashes as possible , as some have just grown through and are on the first part of the lash cycle the lash will grow. At your 2 week infill I will remove any lashes that have grown up the natural lash and replace with new extensions so they don't get to heavy for the natural lash meaning Your Russian Volume lash Extensions will always look the best and this is healthier for your natural lash .

Every 5-6 infills I like to remove all the extensions to give your lashes a clean and reapply this also gives you the chance to see your natural lashes are still in great condition .

Do eyelash extensions make my own lashes fall out?

No, definitely not this is a myth. Many of my clients have been with me since 2010 and have constantly had extensions applied with no break and they have never encountered their lashes all falling off.

It is important to have your eyelash extensions applied by a qualified operator who uses to quality product.

The eyelash has a cycle and are constantly being replaced like your hair. If you pull so hard on an extension lash and pull out your own natural lash there will be no new lash ready to grow to take its place and you will have to wait 6-8 weeks for that lash to grow.

Can I wear my contact lenses with these extensions?

Yes

Could I possibly have an allergic reaction to the adhesive?

It is possible to have a reaction to the glue but it is quite rare .

Most people who have a reaction actually have it after having lashes for a period of time . We don't have to do a patch test anymore for Russian volume eyelash extensions as the test doesn't present enough glue to give a true idea of if the person will have a reaction or not

What do they look like and how do they feel?

With proper application Russian Volume Eyelash Extensions look and feel completely real. Many of my clients are very surprised that you cannot feel the Individual Eyelash extensions . They can give a very soft natural look through to a false strip lash Look

How long do Eyelash Extensions Last?

depending on the natural growth cycle of your eyelashes semi-permanent Eyelash Extensions last well with frequent top ups to keep them looking there best

Can I swim, shower, exercise, or visit a spa while wearing Eyelash Extensions?

Yes. Our specially formulated bonding agent allows you to shower, swim, exercise, sleep and spa worry-free while wearing Eyelash Extensions. You can enjoy these lashes with little need to adjust your lifestyle. Please do not swim or spa for 48 hours after the procedure to allow the bonding agent to fully cure. After this, you can swim and spa - worry free.

Can I apply mascara to Eyelash Extensions?

One of the main advantages of Eyelash Extensions you never need to apply mascara

However, if you must have the mascara look, only water based mascara can be used. You can purchase our specially formulated Eyelash Extensions mascara from me . DO NOT USE OIL-BASED OR WATER-PROOF MASCARA. Waterproof mascara along with any type of oil based mascara will dissolve the bonding agent and cause the Eyelash Extensions to fall off.

You must only use oil free makeup remover to remove eye make up.

Spray Tanning

Pre Tan Advice

•Exfoliate and moisturise the night before the tan (not on the day of the tan), paying particular attention to elbows, knees, ankles and problem dry areas.
•Wax/shave at least 24/48 hours prior to treatment.
This allows the pores time to close. Dotting in pores may appear if not adhered to.
•Do not moisturise or use skin lotions on the day of your tan.
•Remove make-up and deodorant before your tan

After your Tan

• Wear dark loose clothing after your treatment. Tight clothing may cause marks.

• Wear flip-flops or loose fitting shoes.

• Do not shower or bathe for at least 8 hours (the development time).

• Do not exercise or swim during the development period.

• Try not to touch your skin during the development time. Any marks on your hands touching the developing tan cannot be removed Top tip – if leaving on overnight wear loose socks over your hands in bed

• Pat dry after showering

• Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise. day and night.
